    An associate professor, Dr. Orion currently serves as Philip Hardymon Professor of Surgery. She is the Director of the Aortic Center and Surgical Director for the Heart & Vascular Operations and Network Outreach at The Ohio State University. Prior to this appointment, she held the title of Assistant Professor at Yale University. Dr. Orion is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. She has authored over 40 publications and written 10 book chapters. She has been invited to lecture nationally and internationally on her aortic work. She currently serves at the Primary Investigator for four aortic trials. Her clinical practice includes a wide breath of vascular surgery with a special interest and extensive experience in open thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair as well as complex lower extremity revascularization. Dr. Orion has received numerous teaching awards including the Clinical Mastery Excellence Award.
